The Prince visited on the 28th July 2007
It was a great honor for us that during the Seishun Saga Sotai (The Interscholastic Athletic Meet Competition) for 2007 the Prince stayed in our VIP room "Shuho" of "Chikurintei" and had a meal in a Japanese room "Takasago".

The Emperor and Empress visited on the 12th May 1992

The 37th Oi Shogi Tournament was held on 19th and 20th August 1996
The Oi Yoshiharu Habu and 5th dan Koichi Fukaura had a match in the VIP room "Shuho".Oi Yoshiharu Habu won the tournament on the 125th move.

The 58th Meijin Shogi Tournament was held on 8th May 2000
Meijin Yasumitsu Satoh and 8th dan Tadahisa Maruyama had a match in the VIP room "Shuho". Meijin Sato won the tournament on the 99th move.

The 34th Tengen Go Tournamnet was held on 4th December 2008
Tengen Rin Kono and Maijin Gosei U Cho Nikan( consecutive winner) had a match in the VIP room "Shuho". U Cho Nikan (White) won the tournament (nakaoshigachi) on 202th move, and became a three time consecutive winner.
